Also, No longer are Bookmakers willing to take bets on horseracing, the reason is that there %s are not sufficent for there expences, not when they can offer there clients wall to wall reality racing Dogs and Horses, every other, few minutes. from 9.0 in the morning until 9.0 at night.

A client was telling me one day that he coplained to a senoir Bookmaker that he shouldnt be allowed to bet on a race were the result is already known.
Hw was told Relsuts are not known, before the race is shown, and then within 2 weeks, a result, from a reality track was given, 1 hour before the off, every one in the shops (Luckily it was in the mid week) backed the winner and the news never got back to the firms senior staff because the result was the same when it was run 1 hour later.
For the past few months I have been studying the High Street Betting Shops and can say without fear or favour that of the Big Three, Corals are dead in the water, possibly the worst Betting service I have ever known, in 50 years, who on earth runs this firm is worse than Beecham during his running of the National Trains, years ago.
What are they trying to achieve as they are sure to be in the British Shop window, one day, and If I was a Share Holder, I would create murder at there Share Holders AGM.
I havnt spared my time only at the Big Three, the new Kid on the Block Fred Down, or Handsom Freddie in his own mind, should know what service his firm offers. I doubt he would be best pleased.Sorry Fred I know truth sometimes is painful.
With my very best “Witch” report I must say that Ladbrokes are clear winners, in my mind, they will gaurantee some sort of bet, even after the price has shrunk.and there staff are very well trained. and efficient.
As for the real new Kid on the Block Betfair and “Exchange” Betting they have made the choice of British Punters, amazingly good.
There is almost no sporting event that you cannot bet on. although with the service comes a little baggage and that is the Brits Tendancy to like to cheat.
Betfair are however doing everything in there power to protect all there clients, so I hope that the day when they achieve that will be soon.
One of the Bookmakers who I spent trying there service out, was on behalf of the “Indies” I knew the firms creator Wilf Gilbert, and his brother Geof, these brummies were indead brave and bold Bookmaker, and there braveness gave them the kick off all brave individuals deserve.
An accountant, who will remain anonamous, worked for Langs the Bromsgrove Paint Brush Firm, on day he got his own money mixed up with the firms, and stole millions.
He loved a bet and the first Bookmaker he came across was The Gilberts, the Bookies took the mans very large combination bets, and there are thouse who say, even these Bookmakers would have been over stretched if the Accountants trebles etc had come up trumps.
So the end result was Gilberts, ended up with the stolen loot and the man finished up with a 12 year period with Elizebeth, or at least in one of her homes.
So it was with great enjoyment when I attende the new breed of Gilbert, at there redditch Shop. there staff were great all Yamers, it appears that the Gilberts 2nd and 3rd generation have been told that workers from Brielly Hill Tipton or Quarry Bonk are Honest as the day is long, however there ends the pat on the back for I found the firm cowedly, and typical Sons of great Bookmakers, all the require is the money left to them they never seem to understand there industry, so the Accountant, that started there rhise to stardome, is so enshrined in there phsicy that they run there Buisness like an accountant, no room for fair play, just the bottom line. of “Must Win” at all cost, dont they realise that there 35% plus will always gaurantee that profit regardless of how clever there clients. may think they are. I do not wish to slate all Indies however as I beleave to shop arround ius a very sound policy certainly in Betting. bonus,s and concessions are there to be found like the old Gold Nuggets in Canada, a centry ago.
All Bookmakers however should understand with only 5 soldiers from WW1 left. it wont be long before WW2 vetarans follow.it will only leave computor nerds, so when you do manage to get someone in your shop you better, offer him a better service than the one being offered in many High Street Shops. , those from the 50s will all be gone, so what will drag there clients into there shops, they should take a look at the Birmingham Cite Centre Ladbroke Jumbo they have spent a fortune on the interier, the first thing they would see, is that clearly Ladbrokes realise that it is the UK Horseracing that still is the draw, without it the UK betting Shop will become a very driery place.
